This year the ACC will be traveling to the Southern Monashees to fulfill the skiers’ dream of big lines and a beautiful traverse.  This exceptional traverse covers about 50kms of glaciers, ridges and some of the best ski lines the Monashees has to offer.

Our first night will be spent in the cozy town of Revelstoke, where we will sort out our gear and food for the next week.  The following day we will start by driving south of Revelstoke to Shelter Bay where we will start the traverse.  Skiing into the mountains and up onto the height of land back to Revelstoke over the next 7 days, we will ski up peaks such as Mt. Gates, Cranberry Mountain, Blanket Peak and Mt. Begbie Col.  Many of the ski descents will be unparalleled to anything you have ever skied before.

To keep our packs as light as possible we will have a food cache half way along the trip, where we can replenish supplies.

The final day of our journey is to ski up to the notch between the two summits of Mt. Begbie and skiing 1800m back to our cars.  Upon return to civilization, we will have the opportunity to admire our freshly laid tracks from down town Revelstoke.
